PELAGIC THRESHER AND WHALE SHARK DIVING EXPEDITION

This is an action packed diving and photography expedition to the Philippines for ADVANCED DIVERS and will be led by Discovery Channel's Dr. Craig O'Connell.  We will spend 4 days diving with pelagic thresher sharks at the absolutely beautiful Malapascua Island.  These will be very early mornings (meeting time:  ~4:30am) but driving on the boat at sunrise and preparing to dive with sharks, makes the early morning wake up very much worth it!  We will average 2-3 dives per day with the threshers and should be back on dry land just in time for lunch.  The afternoons are typically free for leisure but two of they afternoons will have the option of diving at a different, yet stunning, location.  After completing the Malapascua leg, we will then venture to Oslob for two diving days (4 whale shark dives and one additional dive at Sumilon Island) where we will do shallow water dives and conduct small-scale whale shark movement research.

BIMINI, BAHAMAS SHARK AND DOLPHIN EXPEDITION

Members of the Updog Expeditions team have traveled to Bimini over 40 times in the past 10 years and know these waters like the back of their hands.  

 

For this family/friends experience, you will be staying in a fully-equipped condo which can easily accommodate a family of 4.  Your experience can be catered to your desire; however, the traditional 6 day, 5 night expedition will be filled with snorkeling with wild dolphins, sharks, and stingrays, fishing for dinner, hand-on educational experiences, and relaxing on a beach with nobody in sight.  This time of year is ideal for great hammerheads and bull sharks, so we will be sure to do cage diving with bull sharks at Bimini Big Game and diving/snorkeling at a special and reliable site to see great hammerheads that are up to 14ft long!!!
